My brother’s cat, Otis. He sat like this for 15 minutes, totally transfixed. Every time they would roar, he meowed back
dream big, Otis
Those are your people Otis. Don’t let anyone tell you different.

I think we still live in a culture that assumes that men are single by choice and women are single because no one wants them.
~

Sara Eckel, This is Why You’re Still Single (It’s Not Why You Think)YES. (via live-to-the-point-of-tears)

"I’d like women to explore the idea that maybe there is nothing wrong with them — that they don’t need to fix themselves to find love… Rather than asking, "What’s wrong with me?" I’d like women to start appreciating what is right with them. For example, saying no to the wrong relationship can take a lot of courage, but no one ever gets credit for that. I would like women to start giving themselves that credit."

do action movies know they can have more than one female character

Someone should make an action movie with all girls except for one guy and have no explanation or mention of it in the movie and then pay all of the actors to act surprised like they’d never noticed when they get the inevitable storm of questions.

This one male must have a shower scene, be saved by the protagonist at least once, and fall in love with a lead female.

Reblog if you daydream a lot.

dederants:

This includes letting your ideas, stories and head-canons marinate in your head on a daily basis to the point of not writing any of it down because you’re either afraid of how it will turn out or too fucking lazy to write that shit down.

I can’t figure this dutch braid thing out and its stressing me out! I want to learn it but I need someone to physically show it to me and and take me through it step by meticulous step. Everytime I try it it ends up an abysmal failure

Uh duh.

What was that?
POCS were thriving and had expansive civilizations BEFORE white people came, colonized everything, and “discovered them”?
Oh…

Go read the source article. And if you haven’t, go read “1491” by Charles Mann. Indigenous people in the Amazon actually found a way to farm that instead of wearing out the soil, actually IMPROVED it with extensive farming. It’s called terra preta and no one has been able to replicate it (not even living indigenous people), and if it were to become replicable it could have enormous impact on agriculture worldwide. #indigenoustechftw
Charles Mann states that for a long time (and still today) outsiders have thought of Amazonian Indian people as “remnants” of the most “primitive” state of humanity, when in fact evidence increasingly points to the idea that modern Amazonian indigenous ways of life are the result of massive upheaval in the face colonizing disease, warfare, land theft, and general genocide. That, effectively, modern Amazonian indigenous people are living in the aftermath of what probably looked a lot like an apocalypse to them.
Which, well, no duh.

are you sure it wasn’t some alien technology that let them farm sustainably before the White Men came & showed them how to civilised?

White people theworld didnt start with your invasion

I also read that the Amazon is just a giant garden. In other words, IT’S MAN MADE!!!! THE PEOPLE CREATED A STABLE ECOSYSTEM!!!! THEY WERE FUCKING GENIUSES. Read it here and here.
